Peer Review Process

The peer review process ensures that high-quality manuscripts relevant to the scope of INDIEGO are published. The journal follows a double-blind peer-review model to maintain confidentiality, where the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

1. Administrative Submission Evaluation

Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo an initial administrative check by the Journal Administrator to ensure they comply with the journal's author guidelines. The evaluation considers the following aspects:

  • Paper length and formatting compliance
  • English language proficiency
  • Diagram and table formatting
  • Referencing style consistency
  • Plagiarism and AI screening

If a manuscript fails to meet these requirements, it will be returned to the author for revision before proceeding to the next stage.

2. Initial Editorial Evaluation

Once a submission passes the administrative check, one of the Chief Editors evaluates its originality, language quality, scientific validity, and alignment with the journal’s focus and scope. Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they:

  • Lack originality or significant contribution to the field
  • Contain major scientific flaws
  • Have poor language quality
  • Do not align with the journal’s aims and scope

Manuscripts that meet the minimum requirements proceed to the peer review process, either managed directly by the Chief Editor or assigned to an Associate Editor.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review Process

Each manuscript that passes the editorial evaluation is assigned to at least two reviewers, who assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Novelty and originality
  • Research methodology and analysis
  • Scientific impact and significance
  • Clarity of conclusions and discussion
  • Ethical compliance and proper citation of sources

The review process typically takes 1–2 weeks per reviewer. Reviewers provide recommendations on whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised (minor or major), or rejected.

4. Editorial Decision and Revision Process

  • If revisions are required, the authors must address all reviewer comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within the given timeframe.
  • The revised manuscript may undergo additional review rounds if necessary.
  • The final decision on acceptance or rejection rests with the Chief Editor, based on reviewer feedback and editorial assessment.

5. Publication Timeline

On average, the entire peer review and revision process takes approximately 8 weeks before a manuscript is ready for publication. For further inquiries regarding the submission process, please contact the editorial team via email at admin@trasearch.org
